This is Arlene's block with my work and Ann F.'s work. She did the seam treatment and embellishments on top of the fan, and I did all the seam treatments and embellishements that currently exist on the fan blades themselves.
Amy, That is several fly stitches side by side along the seam. Then I took a thick silk thread up through the back and just sort of braided it through the fly stitches without piercing the fabric again until the end of the seam. Connie
