I got these vintage beads yesterday at an estate sale. I was tempted beyond this, but these were what I could buy at a reasonable price! I added the pics of the black birds especially for Gerry K!
This is JUST too much... Now you REALLY have to send me the metal buttons.... Those colored birds are to die for... Take a better picture of the black birds...
The bird beads, all of them, the lampwork beads with the multicolored designs.....all yummy. The birds may very well be Indian fetish beads, that is one reason they would be more stylistic than realistic. There is no reason you can't use metal buttons on your CQ either. IF they show rust now, don't use them. But if they look laquered already they are very safe to use. Great haul, lucky you!
How lovely - I especially like the ones in the second box, the greenish blue ones.
