Famous, at last

Ha ha! I have been blogged about! I once answered an ad to pick up some mosaic glass and was surprised to find out that it was my neighbor right down at the end of the street who was offering it. LOL! We had a nice visit, found we had some common interests, and then went on our merry but separate ways for about a year. Over the course of the year we ended up meeting at various places on the internet - she found my blog - I found hers - she's on Facebook as am I, I found her Etsy shop, etc. Eventually we decided to make some local shopping excursions together and now have become friends. She was nice enough to help me figure out Etsy the other day. So, here I am blogging about her blogging about me! She has a great blog (http://indulgeyourshelf.blogspot.com/) and two Etsy shops (http://www.etsy.com/shop/TwiceShyRestored?ref=seller_info) and (http://www.etsy.com/shop/indulgeyourshelf) so be sure to check her out!

My favorite CQ quilt of all time!

Claudina Hruby brought her stunning quilt for us to see -- her first one I might mention. I love everything about it! Here are a few pictures of it -- I never tired of looking at all the wonderful little details. Make sure to look at the fine border. The bear is also her work -- she is an awesome stitcher!

Leslie's Charming Landscapes and "Swinging" Escapades!

Lesley also shared a couple of quilts she's been working on while in Breckenridge. The colors are striking and I love what she does with fabric texture to make these landscapes come alive. And of course her trademark tree! Make sure to double click on the "swing" picture to see her expression!

Laurie's Lovely Under-the-Sea Quilt

Laurie brought her lovely quilt to the CQI retreat for us to see. I took some pics of it and these are the best ones, but there is much more to it -- she put so much work into this quilt! It is really an amazing work of art.

Dye Day with Shari

The laboratory and Shari!

Shari came over yesterday and we spent the day dying! We used a couple of different kinds of dyes and came up with some really nice results. Shari had to return to life at 4:30 (something about sloppy Joes to make), but I stayed up and dyed and dyed until 10:00 when my back was bent and broken! First thought this morning was things I forgot to dye, so I'm pretty sure the plan for today is dying!
