I have been putting all my laces in order. I keep them in my Olfa storage drawers that I bought at the container store. After listening to a bunch of different people's advice on how to store and how not to store lace, I decided on this method. First I wrapped the lace around an acid free trading card which is the perfect size for small pieces of lace - 2-1/2" x 3-1/2". For tiny pieces I cut a slit in the side of the card and tucked the ends in there. For larger pieces I cut a piece of tulle and tied it around the lace to hold it onto the card. I sorted them by color.

Wow, you are so organized it's scary! What are the black things on some of the cards - more paper? Or is it there so you can see the design of the lace?
what a fantastic idea. I love it. Wondering since you organize and such. How do you keep the items your using at the time. Do you go back each time to get what you need?
Again your lace storage looks nice:)
Connie,
All that work...see, if you just didn't have so much lace you would have saved yourself so much time and trouble....LOL...just teasin'....great organization! I am sure it was a true labor of love!
Laurie, The black things are pieces of cotton I used so I could see the lace pattern at a glance.
Connnie - I'm so glad to have found your blog - I love your storage ideas and love your polymer clay buttons! I've really been getting into making some of them too and love it. I'll have to save your site in my favorites so I can check in on you and your other great ideas! Thanks so much for sharing! Now to start organizing - WEW!
